Chhattisgarh has launched 'Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shram Anna Sahayata Yojna' in the state.

Highlights of the scheme
- First Shram Anna Sahayata centre was inaugurated here in Telibandha are.
- In this centre 1,000 labourers will be served meal daily between 8 am to 10 am.
- The centre has been constructed at a cost of Rs 20 lakh.
- Workers can either have meal at the facility or get it packed in tiffins
- A skill development centre set up in the same premises was also dedicated by the chief minister on the occasion.
- Girls and women from the families engaged in rag picking will be given skill development training in varied disciplines including stitching, cooking and others there.
