Sumit Nagal wins ITF Futures Tournament

Indian Tennis player Sumit Nagal won 8th MCC – S R Subramaniam Memorial ITF Futures Men’s tennis championship.

Nagal received USD 2,160 and 18 ITF points for the

  • He defeated Colin van Beem of the Netherlands
  • He defeated his opponent by 6-3, 6-0 to grab the singles title
  • He received USD 2,160 and 18 ITF points for the victory 
  • van Beem received USD.1272 AND 12 ITF points.

About Sumit's Tennis Career

  • He won the 2015 Wimbledon boys' doubles title with his Vietnamese partner Lý Hoàng Nam, defeating Reilly Opelka / Akira Santillan in the final. 
  • He became the sixth Indian player to win a junior Grand Slam Title. He made his Davis Cup debut for India in the 2016 World Group Playoff tie against Spain in New Delhi
