"Dreamnation: Uniting a Country with Handwritten Dreams" a book containing inspiring words of Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was released by Indian cricketer Mithali Raj.
- The book was released on the 86th birth anniversary of the former President Kalam.
- The book is co-authored by Saji Mathew and Jubie John and published by Bloomsbury.
- The book has 200-plus handcrafted and handwritten postcards from across India.
- The aim of the book is to take the readers through the dreams, hopes, and aspirations of a nation as envisioned by Dr Kalam.
About Dr APJ Abdul Kalam
- He was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007.
- He is known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology
- Kalam worked in the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as the project director of India's first Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV-III) which successfully deployed the Rohini satellite in near-earth orbit in July 1980
- In his book India 2020, Kalam strongly recommended an action plan to develop India into a "knowledge superpower" and a developed nation by the year 2020.
- His book "Transcendence: My Spiritual Experiences with Pramukh Swamiji", published just a month before his death
