The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has launched an offline facility to allow taxpayers to finalise their GSTR-3B forms.
- Now taxpayers can check their forms on their own computers before uploading it onto the portal.
- Taxpayers have to file the summary GSTR-3B forms each month till January.
- An Excel-based offline utility has been instigated for filing the GSTR-3B on the GST Portal, to make the process of filing returns simpler.
- GST portal crashing repeatedly during the previous filing deadlines due to taxpayers logging on to the portal at the last minute to upload their final returns, thus, the offline system has been introduced so that the taxpayers can file their returns without any problem.

- Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) comes under Section 8 of New Companies Act.
- It is a non-Government, private limited company.
- It was integrated on March 28, 2013.
- The Government of India holds 24.5% equity in GSTN
- The Company has been set up primarily to provide IT infrastructure and services to the Central and State Governments, tax payers and other stakeholders for the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
