The government of Haryana has come up with a very unique idea for households living in Urban areas of the state and willing to rear their own cattle and produce "quality milk" for their consumption.
- Those people will be able to get PGs for their cattle.
- Government is planning to reserve 50 to 100 acres of land for dairy business
- Two types of dairies: traditional dairy and PG for cattle dairy will be established under the scheme.
- People staying in a flat in a big city where they cannot rear cattle but wants to consume milk of their own cow or buffalo can get plot for 'PGs for cattle' in these dairy areas where they can rear their own cattle and get quality milk.
- Haryana government is preparing to organise 'Haryana Swarna Jayanti Cattle Fair' in Jhajjar on October 27.
- The two-day long fair will feature "catwalk" of indigenous cattle
- The objective is to make Haryana the best state in milk production
