Swraj Paul Honoured at British Asian Achievers Awards

Famous NRI industrialist and Chairman of the Caparo Group Swraj Lord Paul has been honoured with the Life Time Achievement Award at the 2nd British Asian Achievers Awards.


  • He was honoured for his outstanding contributions in the fields of manufacturing industry, education and philanthropy.
  • British Asian Achievers Awards are organised by Jagatwani a Hindi weekly
  • Paul was the first person of Indian origin to hold the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords
  • He was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 1983.
  • Paul was Chancellor of Thames Valley University in 1998. 
  • He is the Chancellor of Wolverhampton University and is the longest-serving University Chancellor in the UK
