Goa is all set to host the Nobel Prize Series-India 2018 which is scheduled from February 1 to 28 2017.
- A trilateral memorandum of association (MoU) was signed by the government of Goa the Department of Bio-Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and Nobel Media, Sweden
- The objective of the event is to drive people towards pure science rather than technology
- The Nobel Prize Series-India 2018 will showcase a month-long exhibition brought from Nobel Museum, Sweden
- Nobel dialogues in which Nobel laureates will interact with school children and teachers will be organised.
- 10 Nobel laureates are expected to attend the event
- The Nobel Prize Series is an exciting initiative which brings together Nobel Laureates and eminent scientists to stimulate innovation and creative thinking amongst young students of science.
- This series will be the second of its kind event to be held in the country.
- The first series was organised in Gujarat in January this year.
- The theme for this year's event is 'Science Impacts Life
