Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar announced that the centre has decided to launch “Operation Digital Board” soon across all government schools in India over the next five years to help students view diagrams and presentations through digital tools.
- The Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) passed a resolution to take steps towards Operation Digital Board on the lines of Operation Blackboard of 1987, which was started with the purpose of providing minimum basic facilities to all primary schools.
- The idea of Operation Digital Board is aimed at providing better digital education in all schools. It will offer new opportunities and new ways of teaching and be learning to schools.
- The Centre and state governments have also resolved to identify the number of children out of school in the country, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said.
