In August 2017, Jammikunta village in Telangana came into highlights with its exemplary decision that aimed for spreading patriotism and harmony in a very efficient manner. The entire village comes to an absolute halt at 7:54 am sharp every single day while the people, as a part of paying respect, sing the national anthem and salute the national flag at 16 different important locations all across the village. The primary intention of the activity is to alert the residents of the village to pause their activities and duties for 52 seconds.
