- The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee unveiled the official emblem of the state government which was recently approved by the centre.
- The emblem designed by Ms. Banerjee features the Ashoka Pillar on the top with the theme of “Biswa Bangla” at the centre.
- This symbol will be used on all official documents and correspondence of the state. Mamta Banerjee has also contributed to the design of the emblem.
