After United States President Donald Trump turned down India's invitation to be the Chief Guest at the 70th Republic Day celebrations due to his tight schedule, South African 

President Cyril Ramaphosa has accepted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's invitation to grace the occasion.

• South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met on the sidelines of the G-20 summit that was being organised in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina.
