  • Mount Agung stratovolcano is the highest point on Bali and it dominates the surrounding area, influencing the climate, especially rainfall patterns.
  • The most important temple of Bali, Pura Besakih, is located high on the slopes of Mount Agung.

About Mount Bromo:

  • Mount Bromo is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java, Indonesia.
  • The name Bromo is derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu Creator God.

About Mount Merapi:

  • Mount Merapi is an active volcano located on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces, Indonesia.
  • The word Merapi can be translated as the Mountain of Fire.
  • Meru means "mountain" and Api means "fire".
