  • He will succeed Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria, who has recently assumed charge as Vice Chief of the Air Staff.

About Air Marshall SK Ghotia:

  • He was commissioned in the fighter stream of Indian Air Force in Dec 1981 and is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy.
  • He is a Qualified Flying Instructor with more than 1000 hrs of instructional experience.
  • He has also served as a Directing Staff at the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
  • He was awarded Vishist Seva Medal in 2007.
  • He was also commended by the Air Officer Commanding-In-Chief, Western Air Command in 1994.
