Indian-origin Anita Bhatia has been appointed by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as the Deputy Executive Director of United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women- 'UN Women' for Resource Management, Sustainability, and Partnerships.
