Current context: AYUSH Grid Project has been conceptualized by the Ministry of AYUSH for digitising healthcare delivery at all levels
a. Expanding Common service centres for healthcare
b. Increasing the AYUSH medicines stock in govt. hospitals
c. Digitalising the AYUSH healthcare at all levels
d. To make AYUSH as a study course in schools/colleges
- AYUSH Grid is envisaged to provide a digital ecosystem at all levels of research, schemes, education and health programmes
- The Grid will provide Information and Communication Technology (ICT) powered network to interconnect all streams of AYUSH
- The main components of the Grid project are: Education, Health Services, Training, Drug Licencing Portal, Central sector and sponsored schemes, Media outreach, Citizen centric services and Training
- AYUSH has also launched AYUSH Health Management Information System (A-HMIS) in 2018, which is an IT course for capacity building of AYUSH Doctors by use of Digital Technologies in Healthcare
- AYUSH sector covers the healthcare systems of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homoeopathy
