- The Mega Food Park will generate a turnover of about Rs14,000 crore and will leverage an additional investment of about Rs250 crore in 22 food processing units.

- The initiative will aid the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme by reducing post-harvest losses and hedging the farmer’s risk, by adding value and reducing food wastage at each stage of the supply chain.
- The government provides financial assistance up to Rs50 crore per Mega Food Park project.
- The facilities in the park include 500-tonne deep freeze, quality control lab and other related food processing facilities, 5,000-tonne warehouse each for raw materials, finished commodities etc.
