- The meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand and was attended by 16 RCEP Participating Countries (RPCs).
- The Meeting was chaired by Jurin Laksanawisit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Thailand.
- The meeting reviewed the negotiations made in the last ministerial meeting and concluded that the negotiations have reached a critical milestone.
- The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is a proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between 16 countries including 10 ASEAN countries and its 6 FTA partners (India, Japan, Australia, South Korea, New Zealand and China).
- The RCEP negotiation was launched at the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia in November 2012.
- The Ministers last met was held in Beijing on 2-3 August 2019.
