Current context: Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala Chief Minister launched the Kerala edition of WING-Women Rise Together initiative for women entrepreneurs.

- The initiative is for capacity development of women entrepreneurs in the country and was launched under Startup India, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
- The aim of the programme is to support and identify the aspiring female entrepreneurs by giving them access to inventors, incubation and various business support service.
- It targets to support atleast 7500 women entrepreneurs in the country till 2020.
- Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) and LetsVenture have been given the responsibility to run this programme across the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.
- The initiation of the 1st leg is in Kerala and then it will be spread across the country.
- FITT - IIT Delhi, and Singex will lead the programme in North and North-East, KIIT-TBI in East and Startup Oasis in West.
