  • Government has launched a week long ‘Seva Saptah ‘ to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 17th September 2019 in which blood donation and health camps will be organized in different parts of the country and visit to hospitals and orphanages will be made to provide help and relief to patients.
  • President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated a bronze bust of Mahatma Gandhi in Villeneuve, Switzerland on a five- day visit to Switzerland to boost business and cultural ties. The bust was unveiled to mark the visit of Mahatma to Villeneuve in 1931.
  • Hindi Diwas was observed on 14th September which marks the decision of the constituent assembly to give official language status to Hindi on the same day in 1949. The day has been celebrated since 1953.

  • The Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli has announced that the World Bank will provide Rs 3000 crore assistance to finance, mini and mega food parks to India which was said during the 15th Indo-US Economic Summit organized by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce-North India Council (IACC-NIC) in New Delhi.
