- The Private Security Agency Licensing Portal was launched by the Home Minister Amit Shah so that people do not fall prey to the fraudulent private security agencies. The portal will be available in all official languages within three months. The portal will also help the people cross check police verification of each and every security guard.

The NSS scheme was launched on 24th September, 1969 and this year marks its Golden Jubliee.
