Current context: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) signed a statement of intent with Google to roll-out 'Build for Digital India' Programme.
Meity tied up with Google to “Build for Digital India”
  • The programme is launched to give a platform to the engineering students to develop technology-based solutions to solve social problems.
  • Engineering Students would be called to apply and join the programme and they can take part in both online and offline learning.
  • Learning opportunities on topics of IOT, machine learning, cloud computing etc. would be offered to the students under the course by the Google’s Developer Student Club network and other Google Developer networks.
  • The programme would allow students to apply their learnings in areas of healthcare, infrastructure, education, women safety, environment etc.
