- Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana is an age-old pension scheme for all small and marginal farmers between the age group of 18 to 40 years.
- Under the scheme, the farmers would receive a monthly pension of Rs 3000, once they attain the age of 60 years.
- The government has made an outlay of Rs 10,774 crore for the scheme for the next 3 years.
- It is a voluntary and contributory scheme, in which farmers will make a monthly contribution of Rs.55 to Rs.200, depending on their age of entry, till they attain the age of 60 years.
- PM Modi also inaugurated Jharkhand’s new Vidhan Sabha Building and lay the foundation stone for the New Secretariat Building at Ranchi.
