- The 8th Joint Commission Meeting between India & Thailand took place on 10th October. The meeting was chaired by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and Thailand Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai.
- Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu is on a 5 day visit to two African countries, Comoros (Moroni, the capital of Comoros) and Sierra Leone (Free Town, capital of Sierra Leone) and is the first high-level visit from India to the countries.
- The second informal meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and China’s President Xi Jinping is to be held on 11th October 2019 at Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu (Mamallapuram, is a UNESCO World Heritage site).
- Madhya Pradesh, Governor Lalji Tandon has cleared the municipality amendment bill 2019 which allows indirect polls of mayors and municipality chairpersons in Madhya Pradesh.
- Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board will organize a month long City Walk Festival in 11 cities from October 12 to promote tourism. More than 100 city walks across the state with a focus on subjects like food, textile, photography, art, culture, etc.
