- The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has given Amit Khare (Information and Broadcasting Secretary) the additional charge of Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy in Ministry of Human Resources Development.
- 14 Authorized World Skills India Training Centres will be set up by the Ministry of Skill development and Entrepreneurship across 9 cities for media and entertainment sector. The 9 cities include Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Shillong, Mumbai, Pune and Trivandrum to provide advanced skill training to candidates of media and entertainment sector.
- Intellectual Property, IP Guide for media and entertainment industry was released at MIPCOM 2019 event which was held from 14th to 17th October 2019 by the Services Exports Promotion Council (SEPC) set-up by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, to safeguard against infringement of originality and creativity of the makers.
