  • Pravind Jugnauth was sworn in as Mauritius Prime Minister for a five-year term on 12th November 2019. His swearing-in took place at the residence of President Barlen Vyapoory.
  • The Assam State Commission has announced to launch a mobile app Sishu Suraksha for Protection of Child Rights on the occasion of Children’s Day. The app will empower citizens to lodge a complaint directly registered at Commission for protecting future generations.

  • NASA's Neutron Star Interior Composition Explorer (NICER) telescope on the International Space Station (ISS) detected a sudden spike of X-rays (a massive thermonuclear explosion). The X-ray burst came from an object named "J1808".
