  • The National Agrochemicals Congress was held on 16th Nov with the theme “Country's Status on Various Fronts of Agrochemicals”. The congress was conducted by Society of Pesticide Science India, Division of Agricultural Chemicals, ICAR-IARI.
  • The 5th edition of the Dhaka International Folk Festival was inaugurated at Bangladesh Army Stadium, Bangladesh on 14th November 2019 and more than 200 artistes from 6 countries will perform in this largest folk festival of Asia.
  • The Malaku Island in Indonesia was hit by a massive earthquake of 7.4 magnitudes which was turned up by a tsunami. The Ring of Fire region of the Pacific Ocean in which the country is situated is vulnerable to frequent earthquake and volcanic eruptions.

  • Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan took oath as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court on 17th Nov 19 and was administered the oath of office by Governor Draupadi Murmi.
  • Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Sri Lanka's former Defence Secretary has won the Presidential election of Srilanka by receiving around 6.9 million votes against his main rival, Sajith Premadasa.
  • Bhutanese Foreign Minister Lyonpo Tandi Dorji is on a week-long visit to India and will hold bilateral discussions with his Indian counterpart External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar to increase the economic cooperation, development partnership and hydro-power cooperation between the two countries.
