- Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat released a short documentary film on Water Conservation named 'SHIKHAR SE PUKAR' in New Delhi. The film was made to
promote 'Jalshakti Abhiyan' and attract attention of people on the water conservation issue.
- The Bio-Medical Equipment Waste Management Programme (BMEWMP) was launched in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh with the objective that the equipment’s in the district level health care will have an uptime of 95%, in sub-district hospital 90% and in PHC 80%.
- The Assam Government will start the Arundhati gold scheme by January 2020 for the registered newly married couples in which Rs 30,000 will be given to the bride to purchase gold. The scheme is aimed to promote marriage registrations and prevent under-age marriages in the state.
