  • The government of India has declared Urban areas of 35 states and Union Territories Open defecation free under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban.
  • The Govt. of India has constructed Girls' Hostel for Nepal Armed Police Force School with a grant assistance of 40.42 million Nepali Rupees. The Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) School was established in 2005 which is an academic institution created under the APF Welfare Service Centre.

  • Ecuador has declared emergency due to a fuel spill in the Galapagos Islands, after a barge carrying 600 gallons of diesel fuel sank. Galapagos archipelago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Latin America, is home to one of the most fragile ecosystems on the planet.
