  • Losar Festival is being celebrated in the Union Territory Ladakh on 27th Dec to mark the Ladakhi New Year. The festival is observed on the 1st Day of Eleventh Month of Tibetan Calendar and is being organised by the Ladakh Buddhist Association in collaboration with the Union Territory Administration.
  • National Tribal Dance Festival is inaugurated by the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 27th Dec 19 and is being organized in Chhattisgarh for the first time.

  • Indian Air Force has decided to decommission the MiG-27, the ground attack aircraft after three decades of its service. The aircraft earned the moniker 'Bahadur' from IAF pilots for its role during the 1999 Kargil War.
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared victory in a leadership primary in his right-wing Likud party defeating his challenger Gideon Saar.
  • Ministry of Women and Child Development has invited applications for Nari Shakti Puraskar 2019 that is given annually to individuals, groups, institutions for working towards the cause of women empowerment. The award will be given on International Women’s Day observed on 8th March 2020.
