- The 11th biennial edition of DefExpo India- 2020 is scheduled to be held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh from 5th to 8th Feb 2020.
- The theme of the DefExpo is ‘India: The Emerging DefenceManufacturing Hub’ and focus will be on ‘Digital Transformation of Defence’.
- The mobile app for the DefExpo 2020 is focused on the ‘inform, engage and feedback’ mechanism and provides detailed information about the day-to-day events, Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs), participating exhibitors, maps and directions of the venues.
- The app has been developed by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence (MoD).
- The DefExpo is organised for:
- Offering an excellent opportunity for the Indian defence industry to showcase its capabilities and promote its export potential.
- Facilitate Business-to-Business (B2B) interaction with senior foreign delegations and signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
- Highlight the emergence of UP as an attractive destination for investment in the defence sector.
