Service Delivery – Role of Governments’, in Nagpur on 22nd Dec 19.

• The conference was organised by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra and the Maharashtra State Commission for Right to Public Services.
• In earlier occasions, the government of India has adopted the Shillong Declaration and Jammu Resolution for Good Governance.
• It was decided in the conference that the Government of India, the Government of Maharashtra, the Maharashtra State Commission for Right to Public Services shall collaborate to empower the citizens by:

1. Policy interventions for better service delivery.
2. Adopting a bottom-up approach to bring massive improvements in quality of grievance redressal.
3. The holistic approach of systemic public grievance reforms.
4. Creating web portals for improved service delivery through digital platforms.
5. Exchange of technical expertise in the areas of Improved Service Delivery between the paired States under the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Program.
6. Timely publication of Good Governance Index to identify the quality of governance in 10 sectors at the Union, State and District levels.
