- ICP Biratnagar has been built at a cost of around Rs 140 crore on 260 acres of land.
- It has the facilities for immigration clearance of foreign passengers, warehousing facilities with export and import cargo handling, electronic weighing bridges, 100% power backup, fire safety, dedicated communication network etc.
- Jobgani-Biratnagar international trade point is one of the important trade points between India and Nepal that share over 1,850 kilometre- long border with each other.
- Biratnagar is also the third-largest Revenue Collecting Customs Office of Nepal.
- In terms of trading, over 65 percent of Nepal’s trade is with India and also over 65 percent of Nepal’s exports are to India.
- The ICP at Jogbani-Biratnagar has been built with Indian assistance to facilitate trade and people’s movement.
- The first ICP was built in Raxaul-Birgunj in 2018.
