Current context: India's flagship global conference on geopolitics and geo-economics Raisina Dialogue will begin from 14th Jan 2020 in New Delhi.
Raisina Dialogue 
  • This will be the fifth edition of the prestigious Raisina Dialogue.
  • The Dialogue is being jointly organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation.
  • 12 Foreign Ministers will participate in the 3-day conference including from Russia, Iran, Australia, Maldives, South Africa, Denmark, Uzbekistan and the EU.
  • The Raisina Dialogue is a multilateral conference held annually in New Delhi.
  • The Dialogue was initiated in 2016 and involves a variety of global policymakers including heads of state, cabinet ministers and local government officials.
  • It is designed on the lines of Singapore's Shangri-La Dialogue.
  • The name "Raisina Dialogue" comes from Raisina Hill, an elevation in New Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhavan.
