• The Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar is given to recognise the excellent work done by individuals and institutions in India in the field of disaster management.
• Government of India announces the award every year on 23rd January on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
• Awardees selected for the Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar for the year 2020 are:

1. Disaster Mitigation & Management Centre, Uttarakhand (in the institution category).
2. Kumar Munnan Singh (Individual category).

• The winner in the institution category shall receive a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 51 lakhs.
• The winner in the individual category shall receive a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakhs.
• For the year 2019, 8th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) located at Ghaziabad, had been selected for the award for its commendable work in disaster management.
