- The focus was specifically on the defence cooperation, in the areas of:

- India geared up to provide defence services, equipment and other measures to the African counterpart including:

- Both the nations share a common interest in the Maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region, which is highlighted by the Government’s emphasis on SAGAR (Security and Growth for all in the Region).
