Current context: The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the 34th Surajkund International Crafts Mela at Faridabad, Haryana on 1st February 2020.

  • For the 34th Surajkund International Crafts Mela-2020, Uzbekistan is chosen as the partner country and Himachal Pradesh is chosen to be the theme-state.
  • The Surajkund Mela showcases the richness and diversity of the handicrafts, handlooms and cultural fabric of India & is the largest crafts fair in the world.
  • The Mela is organized by the Surajkund Mela Authority & Haryana Tourism in collaboration with Union Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, Culture and External Affairs.
  • The Surajkund International Crafts Mela is being organized since 1987 and was upgraded to an International Level in 2013.
