  • Arjun Munda, Union Minister of Tribal Affairs inaugurated the All India Tribal Workers Meet on 25th February 2020, which was organised by Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sangh (BAJSS). The BAJSS is a National Level Voluntary Organisation constituted on 24th October 1948.
  • The 34th Foundation Day of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, is being observed on 26th February 2020 at the National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi.

  • Jammu and Kashmir, the host, bagged the gold medal in the 6th National Ice Stock Sports Championship organized at Ice Rink in Gulmarg.
  • Punjab Sports Minister Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi informed that the events of the shooting and archery as part of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games-2022 will be held in Chandigarh.
  • National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned an amount of Rs 400.64 crore to UT of J&K during the current financial year. The funding is a part of the NABARD’s ‘Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) - Trench XXV’ which aims at augmenting rural infrastructure.
