- The SDG conclave 2020 is jointly organised by- The North Eastern Council, Assam government, Tata Trusts, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS).
- The Conclave will be attended by all Chief Ministers of North Eastern states along with academia, civil society and international development organizations.
- The aim is to take stock of the progress on the SDG and discuss and deliberate on the way forward for the North Eastern region on those issues.
- The North Eastern Council (NEC) was created under the North-Eastern Council Act of 1971.
- The member states of the NEC include Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
