- Ordnance Factories are observing their 219th foundation day on 18th March 2020. The first ordinance factory named the Gun and Shell Factory at Cossipore in Kolkata was established on this day in 1801.
- The Norwegian Football Association has announced that the Euro-2020 football tournament has been postponed by one year until 2021 because of the Coronavirus pandemic. The tournament will now take place from 11th June to 11th July 2020.

- The Indian Rupee has crossed 75.15 per dollar for the first time on 19th March 2020, and the US dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of six currencies, rose 0.24% to a record high of 101.40. Rupee’s previous record low was 74.50 a dollar.
