  • The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has amended the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy on civil aviation to allow Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to acquire up to 100 % equity in Air India under the automatic route. Earlier, only 49 % were available for sale to NRIs.
  • The Government of India has informed the Lok Sabha on 5th March 2020 that the country has achieved a generation capacity of 368 Gigawatt of power and is sufficient to meet all its energy needs.

  • Google has announced that it has planned to open a Delhi Cloud Region by 2021, which will be the company's second cloud region in India. The first was launched in Mumbai in 2017. Google cloud regions help to bring Google Cloud Platform services to global organisations in industries like media and entertainment, retail and manufacturing.
  • The Ministry of Health has organized a national level training workshop on 6th March 2020 in New Delhi for all the states and hospitals from other Ministries on COVID-19 management. Dr Harsh Vardhan (Minister of Health) has said that the workshop will be taken up to the district level.
