Current Context: The government of India has launched the ‘Arogya Setu App’ for the people to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The app is developed by the National E-governance Division of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
- The app is available in 11 languages. The app allows the user to assess themselves from the risk of getting affected by COVID-19. For this assessing, the app makes use of the factor of the interaction of the person with others. Then with the help of Bluetooth technology, algorithm, and artificial intelligence, it provides the result or the risk of the assessment.
- In short, the app informs regarding the risk of COVID-19 to the individual.
- The Arogya Setu app aims to augment the initiatives of GOI, by reaching out to and inform the users regarding the risk factor and also connects with essential health services to fight against COVID-19.
