Current Context: A full body disinfection chamber which is called PSE is developed at Vehicle Research Development Establishment, VRDE Ahmednagar, which is a DRDO Laboratory.
- It is equipped with a sanitizer and soap dispenser and helps to disinfect the personnel working in the laboratory before the resumption of work.
- The step is taken to avoid spreading of Coronavirus in the working area.
- Working Features: The decontamination starts using a foot pedal at the entry. On entering the chamber, electrically operated pump creates a disinfectant mist of hypo sodium chloride for disinfecting. The mist spray is calibrated for an operation of 25 seconds and stops automatically indicating completion of operation.
