Current Context: Agriculture Ministry launched Kisan Rath Mobile App.

• It is a farmer-friendly app launched to facilitate transportation of food grains and perishables during lockdown situations arisen due to novel coronavirus.
• It has been developed by the National Informatics Centre to ensure farmers and traders are able to find transport for Agriculture and Horticulture produce.
• With the help of this app, the traders will be also able to transport perishable commodities via refrigerator based vehicles.
