Current Context: GoI has released Rs.17,793 crore Under PM-KISAN Scheme farmer families during the lockdown.
- Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme, over 8.89 crore farmer families have been benefitted.
- The Government has also decided to distribute pulses to the eligible households under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY), which will be beneficial to around 19.50 crore households spreaded across 36 States and UTs.
