Current Context: IIT Ropar (Punjab) has designed and developed a ‘Wardbot’ which will be utilized in the hospitals for the COVID-19 patients.

  • The ‘WardBot’ will be used to deliver medicine ad food to coronavirus patients.
  • The sensors installed in the robot will help to guide the path to the robots.
  • The robot is incorporated with the self-sanitizing feature when it will follow the return path after serving the food or medicine to the patient. It can be also used to sanitize the walls and floors and other infrastructure areas of hospitals and hence will prove to be helpful in controlling the spread of coronavirus to the health workers working in the environment with the positive infected patients as they will be in minimum contact with the COVID-19 patients.
