Current Context: Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has decided to launch 'Bharatmarket' which is a national e-commerce marketplace.
- 'Bharatmarket' will be used for all retail traders in collaboration with several technology partners.
- The national e-commerce market place will integrate capabilities of various technology companies to provide end-to-end services in the logistics and supply chains from manufacturers to end consumers, including deliveries at home.
- Bharatmarket will include nationwide participation of all retailers and aims to bring 95% of retail traders onboard the platform, who would be handling the portal.
- The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has received support and guidance of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for this initiative.
