Current Context: Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology, Guwahati has developed a Electrochemical Sensing Platform.
- The Electrochemical Sensing Platform will detect the carcinogenic or mutagenic compound NDMA (N –nitrisomethylamine) and NDEA (N-nitrosodietthanolamine) which is found in food items like cured meat , few cheese and low fat milk.
- The invention resulted by developing a modified electrode by immobilizing carbon nanoparticles which are termed as carbon dots in DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid).
