Current Context: ‘Khudol’ (Gift) initiative of Manipur has been marked as the top 10 global initiatives in combating COVID-19 by the United Nations.
- This was listed by Jayathma Wickramanayake of Srilanka, who is UN Secretary- General’s Envoy on Youth.
- Khudol is cofounded initiative of an NGO called Ya_All.
- The initiative aims to provide food supplies and health services for the people suffering from HIV, to the daily wage earners, LGBTQI+ community, children and adolescents.
- Until now, this initiative has reached to 2000 families and around 1000 health kits and 6500 sanitary napkins to the needy ones and has offered many more support.
