Current Context: SIDM (Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers), CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and Department of Defence Production jointly organized MSME’s E-conclave ‘SIDM MSME Conclave 2020’.
- The conclave was attended by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
- Around 800 defence MSME’s participated in the conclave vis video conference.
- The theme for the conclave was ‘Business Continuity for MSME in Defence and Aerospace Sector’.
- In the conference, Defence Minister made various statements like SIDM has accelerated the manufacturing of PPE kits designed by DRDO, masks, and ventilator parts to support in combating COVID-19.
- He also assured that Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan will enhance economic situation and will restore millions of jobs.
