Current Context: Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri. Shripad Naik has inaugurated Defence Conclave 2020 Gujarat.

• Defence Conclave 2020 Gujarat was a two-day digital conference on Defence and Aerospace Manufacturing Sector.
• The conclave was jointly organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Gujarat and Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM).
• The conclave was launched with an aim to create jobs in the defence and aerospace manufacturing sector as defence sector is a source of great economic growth of the country and this sector provides and promises sustained business opportunities.
• The conclave also helps to strengthen the ‘Make in India’ initiative and thus increases defence manufacturing.
